My work simply reflects the appreciation I have for fine craftmanship and the human desire to make.

The traditional handcrafts and trades of the 18th and 19th centuries introduced a refinement and quality of finish rarely seen in today's cost driven, mass produced product. Hand tools were the trade persons livelihood and therefore highly valued possessions.

Using recycled hardwoods and precious metals I craft each piece using the same construction methods as the full sized original. For me, they are an acknowledgement of the original makers and owners of these now often neglected objects.
